Dallas is our newest addition to our Cardigan family. He comes from Paradiddle Kennel in Arkansas and our friend Becky Martin. He has been a very fun puppy to have and smart too. It only took him a couple of days to figure out how to use a doggie door even though he did seesaw on it once if you can imagine that.
As a youngster he won three major Cardigan specialties and also won two reserve Best in Shows at IABKC. Under judge Donald Gill from the puppy class, Dallas took WD BOW BOB and a Group 3 puppy. Two weeks later he went WD again and earned an Award of Merit for a 5 point major and Best Puppy.
Over the past couple of years, Dallas has gone on to finish his AKC, UKC, International, Canadian championships as well as his AKC Grand Championship. In 2010 he was ranked #5 Cardigan in Canada. Dallas has also earned his first AKC herding title. Several group placements to his credit, Dallas will continue to be campaigned in the show ring but he will also begin working toward his first agility title.
He has become a great companion for me at work. Just laying there patiently as my employees come in to say “hi”. He is a joy to have around.
Of interest to blue merle bitch owners, Dallas is black and white with very minimal brindle points.
