Debonaire Cardigan Welsh Corgi's

Thanks for stopping in to visit us! We are owned and loved by  some very special Cardigan Welsh Corgi's.

We are dedicated to preserving this special breed, with it's wonderful temperament, and versatility. With those those characteristics in mind, we are able to compete in various conformation rings (AKC,CKC,UKC,IABKA, Internationally), we do agility, rally and are working on herding at present. And yes, we even, just plain have fun with them.

We believe that a Cardigan can have it "all", good temperament, good health and beauty. We are trying to breed for the total dog. We also think it is very important that our dogs make wonderful family companions also. So, all our puppies are raised from birth inour home to become a part of your /our family. More than show dogs or working dogs, they are part of our family.

Some people have asked us why did we named our kennel "Debonaire". Well, if you look at the directory for the definition of Debonaire. The definition means"courteous, gracious, having a sophisticated charm, carefree, happy, suave, and from the old french, of good lineage and disposition." Well in our eyes the Cardigan fits this to a T.

Since the beginning of our original Cardigan, we have purchased what we believe to be "good lineage". It was kind of a quirk that the definition from "old french" means of good lineage. I guess we were meant to have our first two imports from France. Honest, we really didn't plan it that way. We have no inhibitions about purchasing bloodliens from all over the world, if it will give us the qualities that will give us that "total Cardigan" trait that i would like to see. 

We do not breed on a regular basis. But when we do decide to have a litter, we carefully take the time to pick out and research something that we would like to have, that will fill our Total dog idea. If you are interested in a puppy and we have nothing planned, don't fret. We have many reputable people that we can refer you to.
